Jocelito Camargo, R.Ac

TwelveM Acupuncture

Place and type of practice: Ottawa, Clinic Owner

Number of years in practice:10

Number of years as a TCMO member: 3-5

Why I am a member of TCMO:  We need an independent voice to represent our interests, and I’m a member because I believe in the effort this association has made to make our profession more recognized and respected.

Special focus area: Neurology

Conditions I love to treat: Stroke

Looking back on my career, something I’ve learned that shapes how I practice: My background in biomedical sciences gave me the natural curiosity to understand how things work, which led me to TCM. I love to be the bridge between medical knowledge and energy healing (neurology-acupuncture-qigong), culture and languages (Portuguese-Chinese-English).

One thing I always tell patients: Stay warm =)

The last CEU course I signed up for: Neuro-Meridian Acupuncture, module 2

Updates to share: I’ve been focusing on teaching Qigong online recently, expanding the YiZhiChan style to Portuguese – and Spanish-speaking countries. I’m a member of an association in Malaysia and a 21st-generation successor of this system. We are open to all TCM practitioners interested in learning this Qigong and becoming more complete TCM practitioners.
